Andrea Whiting has been teaching horses and riders in the Tampa area since 1999.

Her riding career began in 1977 in Memphis, TN at Germantown Stables and later in Dallas, TX under the tutelage of well known hunter/jumper trainer Col. Don Nance.

Upon moving to the Tampa area in 1985, she began riding with Evelyn Stephens, an iconic Tampa horsewoman, and it was there that Andrea was initiated into the style of riding known as Saddle Seat.

Andrea started assisting with a local lesson program in 1998 and turned professional in 1999. She served on the board of the Tampa Horse Show Association for over a decade and has held memberships in the United States Equestrian Federation, the United Professional Horsemen's Association and the American Riding Instructors .

Andrea is a 1989 graduate of the University of South Florida with a BA in English and Minors in Humanities and Anthropology, and post-graduate courses in Education.
